Rental Terms
All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. This agreement outlines the terms, conditions, insurance provisions, fees, and your obligations related to the rental. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Rental Vehicle Requirements
- To rent a vehicle from Park Royal, you must be at least 21 years old. Age restrictions may apply based on vehicle type, with possible additional fees for drivers under 25. A valid driving licence relevant to the vehicle category is required, along with identification and proof of address. Payment information and a security deposit must also be provided, in addition to any other requirements specified in the Rental Agreement.
Booking and Payments
- Reservations can be completed via our website, over the phone, or directly at our Park Royal office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking, with the remaining balance and security deposit payable upon vehicle pick-up. All prices are displayed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely by established payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of collection, please conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle and report any pre-existing damage right away. A vehicle condition report will be created and signed for your records. It is important to return the vehicle in the same state as it was collected, accounting for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated, and charges may apply. Ensure the vehicle is returned with the same fuel level as when you picked it up; refueling fees will be charged if the fuel level is lower. Late returns might incur additional fees, so please contact us promptly if you anticipate a delay. You are responsible for any parking fines, traffic violations, or other charges that arise during your rental period, along with an administration fee.
Insurance and Liability Terms
- All rentals at Park Royal include basic third-party insurance. Detailed coverage information and excess amounts can be found in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options are available to help minimize your financial exposure. It is important to review these options thoroughly. You will be liable for any damage or loss up to the excess amount unless further insurance is purchased. Responsibility for damage resulting from negligence or misuse remains with you, regardless of insurance coverage.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice provided. For specific information, consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle
- Prohibited activities include using the vehicle for illegal purposes or any form of racing, rallying, or off-roading. Transporting hazardous materials is not permitted. Sub-letting the vehicle or allowing unauthorized drivers is strictly forbidden. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, exceeding passenger or weight limits, and operating the vehicle outside specified geographical areas without consent are also prohibited.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
Limitation of Responsibility
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Park Royal Car Hire will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount paid for the rental in the past 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
9. Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon being posted on our website. Continued use of our services indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
